WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU MEET?
We actually met on Tinder in 2020! Braeden super-liked me for the record. We instantly connected and talked constantly. I knew that I was moving out of state for my residency, so we ended up being long-distance best friends. In March 2023, we decided that we both cared about each other too much to pretend that we were just friends and decided to give things a try. By June we were dating and it was the absolute best decision!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
Our first date was on Memorial Day weekend. Braeden drove to my place in Maryland and we spent the weekend together. We are so excited that we are getting married on Memorial Day weekend in 2025!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER?
We love to go on adventures together! Whether it is traveling to a concert, a museum, shopping, or trying a new restaurant, we always have so much fun together.

WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE?
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when I fell for Abby. When we first started talking I couldn’t get enough of her (still can’t). There was a point in time when I had realized that we shared a lot of common interests and shared mostly similar life values. When I met her in person on Memorial Day weekend something inside of me had changed. When I first met her, her smile illuminated my heart and brought warmth to it as well. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. But it wasn’t just her outer beauty that captivated me. The person who she was on the inside was what really drew me in. As we spent more and more time together on the weekends, I found myself drawn towards her in ways I could never imagine. When I went home on Monday mornings after spending the weekends with her, I couldn’t stop thinking about her, and that’s when I realized her happiness must become my number one priority.

I don’t know that I had one defining moment when I knew B was the one. A lot of little moments led to the, “Wow, I really love him.” He is so patient and has always made me feel so loved and safe, and I was able to be myself around him completely from the second that we met. When we first started dating I had surgery and had some complications right after. He never left me feel alone, checked in with my mom, whom he had not yet met and drove hours to visit and take care of me. I realized then that everything had led up to him being “the one.”

HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
He proposed at our house! It was so special that the place we started talking about dating in was the place where we got engaged. I used to spend hours on the phone with him there when we were doing long distance, so it was so amazing to have that moment in a place where we turned into our home together.

WHEN YOU THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHAT DO YOU ENVISION? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU?
We envision a really romantic and elegant ceremony with a large party where we can dance the night away for the reception. The most important thing for us is getting married and being surrounded by the people who support us the most.

WHY THE WILLOW?
We chose The Willow for so many reasons! We loved the look of the venue and the fact that we could get married outside with the backup plan of moving inside if needed. It has the romantic and elegant feel that we are looking for, but also has the space to make sure that our guests have fun at the reception. We also loved the idea of having hotels close by for our out-of-town guests.
